Connor McDavid’s wife is getting in on the bad blood between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.
Following a fiery Game 3 that saw 140 penalty minutes dished out and eight players thrown out, Lauren Kyle McDavid took to social media with a subtle jab at the Panthers. Florida fans have adopted the rat as a mascot, and Lauren decided to remind everybody why the province of Alberta is rat-free.
She posted a screenshot of a Google AI overview of how Alberta has prevented the rodent from encroaching on its borders for several decades now.

The Panthers sporting the rat as a mascot is very fitting for this iteration of the team. Some of the team’s best players, like Sam Bennett, Matthew Tkachuk, and, most notably, Brad Marchand, share the annoying qualities of the rodent.
They have been getting under the skin of Oilers players all series long with their antics, which include flopping all over the ice.Ā
Lauren has yet to attend a Stanley Cup Final game this season, as she and a handful of otherĀ Oilers WAGs jetted off to Greece to celebrate the bachelorette party for Leon Draisaitl’s soon-to-be wife,Ā Celeste Desjardins.
However, it looks like that trip has come to an end, and we could see them back in the Rogers Place stands as soon as Game 5 rolls around on Saturday night.
Lauren and the rest of the Oilers WAGs will be hoping that her Instagram story stays true, and that the Oilers can make sure that Florida’s rats don’t have an impact in the Alberta capital.
