If some serious sales on designer brands with a side of an outdoor celebration is your idea of a Canada Day well spent, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport should be on your radar this July 1st.

Back for its third year, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet’s anticipated Canada Day event marks the start of their massive summer sale  from 70 beloved brands at prices that won’t leave you with buyer’s remorse (or an empty bank account).

Whether you’re looking for an outfit for summer wedding season, a new pair of running shoes, or a conversation-starting handbag, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet features stores (and sales) from brands like Nike, Kate Spade New York, Ted Baker, Michael Kors, Coach, Sandro, Levi’s, and Puma, to name a few.

New this year are Roots – which is stocked with stylish Canada Day-appropriate gear – and Lacoste, the latter of which can easily (and affordably) help your summer tennis or golf style game.

Aside from the sale excitement, Canada Day at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet calls for the launch of their Stronger, Faster, Fitter event with this year’s partner, the Richmond Olympic Oval.

Event highlights include outdoor spin and yoga classes in the breezy Luxury Piazza from 9am to 3pm. Both the high-energy OVALfit RIDE Cycling classes and the invigorating OVALfit FLOW Yoga classes will be offered for just $15 per class, with proceeds going to support local charity, KidSport.

As an added bonus, registered class participants will receive an OVALfit tank top and swag bag valued at $150. New this year, is the VIP Lounge, where participants can relax and enjoylight snacks and refreshments, and the kids can release some summer weekend energy at the OVAL Sports Den, located by the kid’s playground area.

You can also live your Olympic dream with insta-worthy photo ops from the official Olympic bobsled and podium with medals and torches set up for the day and ready to display.

The outdoor Canada Day celebration will feature food vendors that include the sugar rush-providing Cloud Nine Cotton Candy Co. in addition to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet’s seven other restaurants.

For appetites worked up shopping the sales or breaking a sweat at a fitness session, guests can savour some patio time while mowing down on everything from the churro craving Hugo’s Churro’s  and the authentic Italian thin crust from BIBO Pizzeria, plus sweet and savoury crepes from Café Crêpe.

Live music from local jazz band The Tim Sars Quintet will fill the Luxury Piazza from 3 pm to 4:30, setting the mood for the celebration of our home and native land – that, of course, and of the great sales you just scored.

One of the best parts about the event is that it gives back; McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver has partnered with KidSport Richmond for the event.
