Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and his wife Amy announced that they will be separating.

In a joint statement to halt any rumours, the two stated the following:
“As people close to our family are aware, we recently agreed to separate. This is a personal and private matter for our family, and contrary to false rumours being spread online, it is a mutual decision that we made amicably and together.
We appreciate understanding and privacy, especially for our kids.”
The mayor and his wife did not comment further on the matter. They met when they were in their mid-20s and sailed to New Zealand on an old sailboat they fixed.
Before his political life, Robertson was was a founder of Vancouver-based Happy Planet organic juices. He and Amy have four children together.
