West side masseur charged after allegedly sexually assaulting customer

A 61-year-old masseur has been arrested and charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a customer.

According to a police statement, officers were first notified of the crime by a 31-year-old Vancouver woman who was sexually assaulted.

The incident took place in August of 2019 at the Toe to Soul Relax Lounge on West Broadway.

The suspect in question, Amado Ramos, has been charged with sexual assault but is now reportedly free on bail.

Investigators believe Ramos, who was employed at the Toe to Soul Relax Lounge, “used his position as a masseur to assault the Vancouver woman, who was there as a customer.”

They’re now asking for any additional victims to come forward.

“We believe there may be additional victims who have not yet reported to police,” said Constable Steve Addison of the VPD, in the statement. “Our main objective is to identify anyone else who may have been victimized, and to complete full investigations.”
