Canadian company sending free personalized greeting cards to frontline workers

A Canadian greeting card company has launched a new feel-good initiative by offering personalized cards to frontline workers for free.

Mark It Proud will send one thank you card a day to Canada’s essential frontline workers during the pandemic.

Canadians can send some appreciation to any frontline worker of their choice. The company asks people to head to the Mark It Proud website, pick out a card, DM or email [email protected] with the name of the card, the front line worker, a message, and the recipient’s address (exclusive to Canada).

“We’ll write out the message verbatim and send it to them free on behalf of you,” said the company in an Instagram post. “Not sure of a specific person? We’ll happily send it to a nurse’s station, a doctor’s office, a hospital, a grocery store etc. We are also happy to send you a blank card if you’d like to hand it to a frontline worker yourself or give your kids an activity to do! If they’re on the front line, we want to thank them.”

According to the Toronto-based company’s website, Mark it Proud’s mission is to give clients searching for the perfect wedding, birthday, baby, coming out, and/or celebratory card a “little more variety” while expanding the visibility of the LGBTQ community.
