Mark Brand launches "A Better Life Foundation"

On May 25, social entrepreneur Mark Brand will be launching A Better Life Foundation at the Vancouver Art Gallery. ‘A Fresh Start’ will kick off the foundation’s fundraising efforts with dollars going towards food security to the most vulnerable in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Tickets are $250 each, with tax receipt options, and are available at www.abetterlifefoundation.eventbrite.ca.

Personal finance expert and regular columnist in the Globe & Mail, Preet Banerjee will host the inspirational evening filled with fine food, wines and engaging presentations. Joel Solomon, President of Renewal Partners and Chairman for Renewal2 Investment Fund, will speak at the event along with Mark Brand.

The students of Vancouver Community College will generously prepare the food for ‘A Fresh Start’ that will include locally sourced ingredients and vendors. brand.LIVE, Canada’s leading event production company, have partnered with Mark Brand Inc. to produce what will be an unforgettable evening. Entertainment will include Vancouver based Ryan Guldemond from Mother Mother who is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the neighbourhood he loves.

Founded in 2012 by Mark Brand, A Better Life Foundation strives to support people in need. The overarching goal of the Foundation is to raise critical funds towards providing food security to women, children, and those in assisted living as well as provide job training and employment opportunities for the community at large. By looking for and working towards sustainable solutions, A Better Life Foundation aims to contribute towards meaningful change.
