A marijuana plant is growing in a Vancouver traffic circle

UPDATE: The marijuana plant has reportedly been removed as of noon Tuesday.

While the high temperatures and dry weather has some plants struggling, one rogue marijuana plant is flourishing inside a City of Vancouver-maintained traffic circle.

It’s the sort of thing that could only happen in Vancouver.

Residents and passers-by spotted the leafy green weed amongst other flowers and shrubs in a traffic median near Ontario Street and 20th Avenue. According to some reports, the plant’s smell is quite noticeable.

It is unknown at this point what will happen to the plant, or who planted it there, but it is extremely likely city officials will be by to remove the weed sometime soon.
