Ghost Ridge is Maple Ridge’s best haunted house that offers chills, thrills and great times. Themed as “The After Death…” this year’s haunted house is in full swing for two weekends on Friday and Saturday October 22-23rd, Thursday – Saturday October 28-30th (6-9 pm) with a special fireworks feature on Saturday, October 30th at 9 pm. For all those that crave the scare, scream and heart thumping, this is for you as the haunted house starts in a funeral home, then takes you through 4 interpretations of the worst kind of HELL. The seven deadly sins, a chilling water feature and a twisted forest are a few of the features being created for this event. There is a strong rumor for a “bonfire” so watch the papers, and visit www.ghostridge.org for more details as they come.

For children and wimps, this event is great as each day they feature a non-scary hour from 5-6 pm. There is also a family-friendly waiting and activity area with activities including the Mad Science Show (free of charge) which will take place on Saturday, October 30th. There’s even a rumor
So who creates this event? Four non-profit groups work together to design, construct and operate the Ghost Ridge. All proceeds are donated back to these local non-profit organizations so you can go out, be scared all in the name of feel good charity! The 2010 groups are the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Agricultural Association, Society for Creative Anachronism – Medieval Group, Millennium Players and Ridge Canoe and Kayak Club.
Admission is $7 for everyone (6 -9 pm) and $5 for children and wimps during the non-scary house (5-6 pm). Free parking.
