The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is probing the scene after a man was found dead outside a apartment building near Lougheed Town Centre Station in Burnaby.
Local residents called 9-1-1 after hearing shots fired in the neighbourhood shortly after 10 p.m. Monday night. Burnaby RCMP were deployed to the area and upon arrival, they discovered the man’s body outside the building.
Investigators believe it could have been a home invasion that took a deadly course. The deceased male may have fallen several storeys from one of the apartment units above.
No other details have been revealed to the public as the investigation is still in its early stages.
