The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is at the scene of another murder in Surrey after a 39-year-old man was found dead in a basement suite at 9362, 132nd Street.

The attack occurred on Wednesday night. Police discovered the victim with multiple stab wounds at approximately 9 p.m. and rushed him to hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries.

A 29-year-old man who did not have any police records was arrested shortly after. It is believed that the two men were co-workers who had a fight inside the home.

This is the second homicide in Surrey in just a days as on Monday night, 32-year-old Gregory Quesnelle was found dead with gunshot wounds. Witnesses saw a man in a stolen Kia SUV drive away from the scene, and the car was later found abandoned and torched that morning.

RCMP have issued a warrant for 33-year-old Barry McQuarrie as they believe he is connected with Monday’s murder. He is described as armed and dangerous.
