Earlier this evening, a man was seen running on the Expo Line’s SkyTrain bridge between Surrey and New Westminster.
Unlike the SkyTrain bridge for the Canada Line, this particular bridge does not have a designated pedestrian/bike path.

The incident caused systemwide delays, but TransLink has stated that regular service has resumed. The man has been apprehended by Transit Police.
This is the second time this year a man has been arrested for track intrusion. In April, a man caused systemwide delays when he jumped into the tracks at Main Street-Science World Station and walked towards Commercial-Broadway Station. He told police he did not want to wait for the Train2Main shuttle train that comes every 12 minutes.
