Authorities are on scene in response to reports of a man on top of a roof of a building in downtown Vancouver.
The incident is taking place in the 1000 block of Granville Street, between Nelson and Helmcken, atop a 5-storey building located between the Hotel Regal and the Next Tattoo parlour. The building is the Hotel Vogue at 1060 Granville, an SRO. (The location was confused in previous reports as the Vogue Theatre, which is north on Granville.)
The police are in talks with the man, who can be seen from the street as he stands shirtless on the roof.
