Man rushed to hospital after early morning shooting in Burnaby

A man has reportedly been taken into the hospital after an early morning shooting in Burnaby.

According to the Burnaby RCMP, police received reports of shots fired in the area of Keith Street and Ivy Avenue. Upon arrival, a 25-year-old male was located, suffering from “an apparent gunshot wound.”

He was taken to the hospital shortly after, and BC Emergency Health Services tell Daily Hive that he’s in serious condition.

The Burnaby RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has now taken conduct over the investigation and at this point, they believe that this was not a random incident.
