A man’s deceased body was discovered in a Burnaby residential neighbourhood early this morning.
The body and a pool of blood was found in the middle of Moscrop Street and Smith Avenue, just one block east of Boundary Road.
Emergency services responded to the scene shortly before 3 a.m., the street has been closed for several blocks and tents have been erected in the middle of the road.
Metro Vancouver’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the investigation from local police.
Limited information is available at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.
