Man commits 'indecent act' on 99 B-Line bus, police seek witness

Metro Vancouver Transit Police are hoping that a witness to an indecent act on a bus will come forward and provide a statement.

On Sunday, April 20, 2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a female passenger on a 99 B-Line bus on East Broadway, in Vancouver, witnessed a man committing an indecent act at the back of the bus. The passenger advised the bus operator who pulled the bus over to the side of the road near Guelph Street and opened the door. The suspect got off the bus and headed west on Broadway.

Police attended and took the suspect into custody a short distance away. After being questioned and identified, he was released on a Promise to Appear compelling his appearance in court June 4, 2014. The suspect is a 25-year-old man who has a previous history of these types of offences. Charges are pending.

The female witness left the area before police had a chance to speak with her. She is described as a white female, 30 to 35 years, 5’6” tall, with blonde hair.
