A man has been arrested for the alleged videotaping of a family undressing in a dressing room at Coquitlam’s Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex.

The incident occurred on September 9 when a family member spotted a smartphone being held between the floor and the bottom of their changing room divider in an apparent attempt to film the family.

The family member reported the incident to a staff member. The man fled the scene after he was confronted by staff.

On Thursday, police released a photo of a young man, describing him as a young Caucasian male in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and with short brown hair.

Shortly after, police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident of voyeurism. According to Coquitlam RCMP, the individual has since been released on conditions.

The suspect’s identity has not been released; few details are available at this time due to a publication ban.
