Major SkyTrain delays this evening due to medical emergency at 29th Avenue Station
UPDATE at 10:00 p.m. – Regular train service has resumed.
EARLIER:
Transit users on SkyTrain’s Expo and Millennium lines this evening should expect major service disruptions due to a severe medical emergency at 29th Avenue Station.
According to Transit Police, no trains are running through a section of the track in East Vancouver. Trains are turning back at Nanaimo Station on the west and Joyce-Collingwood Station on the east; trains are running between Waterfront and Nanaimo stations while inbound trains are turning around at Joyce-Collingwood Station.
A bus bridge of seven buses has been established to connect passengers between Nanaimo and Joyce-Collingwood stations.
It is not known when regular train service will resume.
Major delays and large crowds are being reported all across the Expo and Millennium line systems.
