A major crash along the Sea to Sky Highway late Saturday afternoon prompted a full closure of the route on both directions.
According to reports, a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. just south of Lions Bay.
Witnesses say several air ambulance helicopters landed nearby to rush two people in critical condition to a hospital. The exact cause of the crash is not known.
The incident resulted in a traffic backlog at least one kilometre long on the southbound lanes, which reopened at 6:30 p.m. The northbound lanes reopened 30 minutes earlier.
