Have you ever held a music conductor’s baton and attempted to direct an ensemble of musicians?

Last week, lucky holiday shoppers at Vancouver’s Oakridge Centre had the chance to ‘conduct’ professional choir Musica Intima Vocal Ensemble in a performance of Handel’s Messiah (in homage to Improv Everywhere’s “Conduct Us).

Curious Vancouverites of all ages took on the challenge staged by CBC Music. Following the motions of the individual holding the power of the maestro’s baton, the ensemble altered their tempo and performance accordingly.

To say the least, the results were hilarious.
