Macarons in Vancouver: Maison Clément

Being a foodie and a business consultant isn’t easy, but Clement Lau’s love for food has inspired him to bake macarons. Maison Clément macarons now pop up around events in Vancouver and in Satori Factory located on Victoria Drive.

Starting from private dinners, private events and catering, Clement began making macarons at the beginning of 2012. It was for fun, until his friends started to ask him for more and now it is a business known as Maison Clément Macarons. Clement also makes macarons for special events, and they have been seen at events such as Sephora, Vancouver Chinese Pageant, and the Women of Distinction Award.

Maison Clément Macarons are located at Satori Factory, a coffee shop located on Victoria Drive. There are around 21 flavours of macarons and 12 flavours are around at a time. Other flavours include bacon maple, black forest, coconut mango, double sesame, hazelnut, orange blossom and red velvet.

Maison Clément macarons have what macaron eaters are looking for: smooth shells, aligned feet, enough ganache and a light chewiness. Additionally, Clement aims to cut down the amount of sugar in his macarons so foodies won’t be just tasting pure sugar.

Inside Satori Factory, Maison Clément macarons are priced at $1.80 per macaron, $5 for three macarons, $10 for 6 macarons, and $19 for 12 macarons. The most popular macaron sold at Satori Factory is the London Fog macaron.

The latest creation in the family of Maison Clément is the Apple Crumble macaron. It’s almost the same as eating an apple crumble itself, just a different texture.
