Lynda Steele is taking on a new role as the host of The Lynda Steele Show on CKNW News Talk 980, which will air afternoons from 2 to 6 p.m. starting September 1.
Most recently, she was host of Steele On Your Side on CTV.
“It has always been a dream of mine to do talk radio at CKNW, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining such a talented and passionate news and current affairs team,” Steele said. “I can hardly wait to get on the air and start a conversation with the people of Metro Vancouver.”
Steele is a graduate of BCIT’s Broadcast and Online Journalism program and has won numerous awards for her accomplishments in news broadcast, including the Canadian Professional Television Associations’ Gold Award for Best Feature Reporting in Canada and the Western Association of Broadcasters for Broadcaster of the Year in 2008
