One of Robson Street’s longstanding retailers has renewed its presence on the retail strip by doubling its store size.
The Lush Cosmetics store on the south side of the 1000 block of Robson Street reopened yesterday after undergoing a major renovation and expansion into the adjacent space formerly occupied by Danier Leather.
The location now boasts 2,300 sq. ft. of retail area with one-of-a-kind, salvaged and reclaimed furniture and lighting in an effort to reduce waste and the Vancouver-based cosmetics company’s environmental footprint.
Lush says skincare accounted for 37% of the sales of its smaller Robson Street location prior to its closure early this year for renovations, which is why the new expanded location is designed with a large skincare consultation area for enhanced one-to-one experiences with staff.
Other store features include Canada’s first haircare styling bar – allowing shoppers to try the styling products – and a 41-inch round concrete demonstration sink that mimics Lush’s bath experience.
Lush first opened its first Robson Street store 20 years ago.
