Luongo, The Season Rests on Your Shoulder

Dec 19 2017, 11:46 am

If his play at the All-Star game this past weekend in Montreal was any indication, it looks as though Bobbie Lou is back in full form. Not only was he stellar in the 3rd period and OT, he looked like he was having fun out there. That is just what the doctor ordered for the much maligned Canucks. Lets hope the captain brings that happiness back to the west coast.
Now with the Canucks teetering on the edge in a tough Western Conference playoff battle, Roberto Luongo must play the best hockey in his career. We can not miss the playoffs. That is just not acceptable, especially if you look at our roster on paper. However, games are not won on paper they are won on the ice and it’s time our boys show some grit and hustle like they displayed during the first 10 games of the season. Our defence needs to make less mistakes. Our grinders need to grind. Our scorers need to score. Mats Sundin needs to pick up his game now that he has shaken some of the rust off (a few more games ought to do it) and stop taking stupid penalties. If we can get that on most nights there is no reason for us not to make the playoffs.

Go Canucks Go!
