Yoga pants, swim gear and… beer?
Vancouver-based apparel company lululemon announced on Friday it will be creating its very own craft beer.
Partnering with Stanley Park Brewing, Lululemon will create the “Curiosity Lager,” which is supposed to feature chinook and lemon drop hops and is described as a “crisp, bold beer.”
“We both share a deep hometown pride in our forest-in-the-city, Stanley Park and a unbridled enthusiasm for cold beer after a sweaty run on the Seawall,” the apparel company said in a release.
The beer was created to celebrate Lululemon’s partnership with the annual SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Sunset Festival in Stanley Park.
The two companies are expected to make 88,000 cans, which will launch this month and be available until the fall. They will be available in public liquor stores across Canada, and in private ones in B.C. and Alberta.
Partial proceeds will benefit the Stanley Park Ecology Society, which promotes awareness of and respect for the natural world — particularly in Stanley Park.
