Someone in Metro Vancouver won the $39.5-million Lotto Max jackpot

One Metro Vancouver resident will be having a very happy New Year because they have won the $39.5 million Lotto Max jackpot.

According to the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the winning lottery ticket was purchased in South Delta, matching all seven numbers from across Canada to win the jackpot for the December 28 Lotto Max draw.

All lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to claim their prize.

BCLC will announce the specific location of where the lotto ticket was purchased after the winner has claimed the prize.

The odds of winning the Lotto Max main jackpot is 1 in 33,294,800 per $5.00 play.
