Take out your tank tops, shorts, flip flops, sun glasses and sunscreen: with a long streak of sunshine and warm temperatures in Vancouver’s long-term forecast, real summer weather is here.
After heavy rains and even a freak snowstorm on the Coquihalla Highway earlier this week, continuous warm weather has finally arrived at British Columbia’s South Coast – just in time for the start of June.
According to Environment Canada, Vancouverites can expect sunshine beginning today and a high of 20°C due to the arrival of a major high pressure system over the province.
Sunny, clear sky conditions are expected through at least next Thursday, with temperatures peaking at 26°C in the inland of the Metro region over the weekend. Cooler temperatures of up to 23°C will follow after this weekend’s hot streak.
