Victoria’s own Ryan Cochrane had a solid day eight of the London 2012 games.
As seen a couple of days ago on Vancity Buzz, University of Victoria Vike and BC’s own Ryan Cochrane successfully made the finals of the men’s 1500m swim in London. Yesterday, he narrowly missed becoming an Olympic champion and earned a silver medal for his efforts.
This is Cochrane’s second Olympic medal, to accompany his bronze in the same race from the 2008 Beijing games where he set a new Olympic record. Vancouverites and BCers throughout the globe have been incredibly supportive of Cochrane, and the support has paid off.
A hearty congratulations from the ‘Buzz, Ryan!
