Local company offering free gift cards with holiday turkey packages

Vancouver’s¬†Railtown Catering is of the same mind.

For the eighth consecutive year, the local catering company is making the holidays a little brighter with their classic Turkey To-Go Packages. Available in standard full-size for larger groups or half-sizes for smaller gatherings, the packages are sure to satiate your holiday cravings.

To sweeten the offer, the company is offering a complimentary $40 Railtown Cafe gift card on all orders of their chef-curated holiday packages placed by Friday, December 4.

The packages include an array of classic dishes with all the fixings, like sage-roasted turkey, maple-glazed sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts with toasted almonds, buttered carrots, house made dinner rolls and focaccia, pecan pie with Chantilly cream for dessert, and more (if you can believe it).

Customers are also welcome to customize their meal with supplements and additional sides.

Those steering clear of meat this holiday season won’t miss a thing with Railtown’s vegan acorn stuffed squash, featuring heirloom wild rice, roasted cremini mushrooms, red wine and cassis braised cabbage, wilted kale, and caramelized squash¬†pur√©e. Come to think of it, you may just want to include one of these delicious gourds in your order regardless of whether or not you’re a meat-eater.

Speaking of which, meat lovers are far from being left out of the assortment of available add-ons and replacements, like the AAA, slow-roasted angus prime rib.

Naturally, there are also tons of BC wines and craft beers you can carefully select to go with your delicious meal.

If you’re considering leaving holiday dinner to the pros this year, be sure to place your order by Wednesday, December 16 (by 10 am).

Thereafter, heat-and-serve packages will be available for pickup from their flagship location on Railway Street between December 23 to 26 (between 10 am and 6 pm). The team is also offering ready-to-eat packages that are warm upon pickup (the same dates apply but between 3 pm to 6 pm only).

Provided you live in the Lower Mainland, you can also have packages delivered straight to your doorstep for an additional charge.

As is tradition, Railtown will be donating partial proceeds from the sale of each Turkey To-Go Package to a worthwhile cause called Mission Possible, a non-profit organization providing street-level care for those in critical need.
