Live at Squamish Schedule Adjustments Means More Metric!

LIVE at Squamish festival organizers brand.LIVE have made some minor adjustments to the festival line up and are excited to announce a special Saturday evening acoustic performance by Emily Haines and James Shaw.  I say the more Emily the better!

Originally scheduled to headline the main stage on Saturday, Metric will now perform their headline set on Sunday, with Weezer closing the night, while Emily and James will perform a rare and intimate acoustic set at the Garibaldi Stage on Saturday, August 20th.

“I’m really looking forward to playing two sets at LIVE at Squamish with two very different sounds – a stripped-down, acoustic session on Saturday followed by a raw, rock-out on Sunday. Being part of such a great line-up and in one of Canada’s most beautiful settings is a perfect combination for an awesome summer music festival,” says Emily Haines.

This schedule change created an opportunity for superstar mash-up DJ Girl Talk to move over to the main stage on Saturday night, on which he commented “I am very excited to be alive in 2011 and heading to the LIVE at Squamish festival for my first time”. His last local appearance at Yaletown LIVE CITY during the Olympics was widely regarded as a highlight of the program and promises to be one of the most talked about performances of the weekend.

LIVE at Squamish takes place Saturday August 20th and Sunday August 21st, 2011 at Hendrickson Fields & Logger Sports Ground in Squamish.

A limited number of tickets are still available at prices starting at just $89 (plus service charges).   Single day ticket holders wishing to upgrade to full weekend passes should call Gettix at 1-866-676-7661.
