Sins of the City Walking Tours

Running each Sunday afternoon until September 25th, our Sins of the City walking tours will take you on a historical journey through Vancouver's grittier past. Choose between two tours: Vice, Dice, & Opium Pipes or Soulfood & Strathcona.

At 12:30pm, let "Vice, Dice, & Opium Pipes" take you on a journey through the vibrant Chinatown community, once the stomping grounds of gangs and corrupt city officials. Hear tales of corruption, crime, and entrepreneurship with key players like successful Chinese businessman Yip Sang and Joe Celona, also known as Vancouver’s Al Capone.

At 3:00pm, “Soul Food and Strathcona” explores the legacy of Strathcona’s Black and Italian communities. Hear tales of deadly encounters, beloved food joints, and prominent activists who sought to end discriminatory practices against immigrants and the poor.

With stories full of intrigue, injustice, and corruption, these tours are sure to keep you on your toes! Ticket cost includes free admission to the museum.
