Word Vancouver Literary Festival

Word Vancouver’s Reading & Writing Festival, Western Canada’s largest free literary festival, is celebrating its 30th year. Our guest Indigenous curator is Michelle Cyca and our guest 2SLGBTQIA+ curator is Jen Currin. Over 45 artisans and exhibitors have already signed on to share their work on the big day. Our official booksellers this year will be Cross & Crows Books.

With over 40 events at the festival this year there is sure to be something for everyone. There are fiction, non-fiction, writing craft workshops, poetry, the Poetry Bus, a silent auction, and a silent writing room. Some of the highlights include panel discussions on climate change, decolonizing the media, a whimsical discussion of romance on the page and on-screen, and a conversation with famed jazz musician Nikita Carter. Come on down and enjoy this celebration of reading and writing.
