ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

“The Heavy Metal Suite” is a year-long project that culminates with a one-time immersive, multi-media concert experience exploring the future of Earth’s mineral resources and the path towards a green energy transition. With original movements from 8 award-winning composers, each drawing inspiration from their country’s mineral resources, the performance seeks to highlight what is needed to support the sustainable societies of the future. Presented by the Future Minerals Initiative. Hosted and narrated by CBC Ideas’ host, Nahlah Ayed.
