Lions Gate Bridge closures and delays expected this weekend

Delays are expected on Lions Gate Bridge on Friday and Saturday night, as road work reduce and close lanes in and out of Vancouver.

Weather permitting, the north viaduct portion of the bridge is being re-paved, and closures and diversions will be as follows:

Friday, August 26

• 8 to 10 pm – one lane open in each direction, with temporary traffic stoppages in both directions.
• 10 pm to 8 am – single lane alternating traffic.

Saturday, August 27

• 8 to 10 pm – one lane open in each direction, with temporary traffic stoppages in both directions.
• 10 pm to 8 am – single lane alternating traffic.

The closures will also affect pedestrians and cyclists, although at least one sidewalk will stay open on the bridge. For updates, check Drive BC.
