A new addition to the “I’m moving to Canada if Trump becomes president” rhetoric has just emerged – it turns out Girls creator and star Lena Dunham will be moving to Vancouver if Trump becomes president.
And she’s serious about it.
“I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will,” Dunham reportedly said Monday afternoon. “I know a lovely little place in Vancouver and I can get my work done from there.”
The remarks were made during the Matrix Awards in New York, which Dunham was hosting.
It seems the star doesn’t pull punches when she’s asked questions; when asked at the awards what she would do if she woke up as a man, she unflinchingly responded “kill myself.”
At any rate, Dunham isn’t the only American who has threatened to move to Canada should a Trump presidency become a reality. A respectable 28% of Americans say they’ll make their way north of the border, according to a Vox.com poll, meaning we’ll have to make room for 89.3 million more people.
