Leisure Center brings bold aesthetic to Vancouver's luxury retail market

Leisure Center is adding a brand new touch of stylish aesthetic to Vancouver.

Located on 950 Homer Street, the shop is Vancouver’s newest go-to for leading edge design and luxury retail.

Carrying high-end fashion from Balenciaga, Comme Des Garçons, Lowe, MA+, Guidi, Devoa, Vetements, and more, Leisure Center brings a striking and bold aesthetic to Vancouver’s retail scene as it aims to push forward creative design and style.

Mason Wu, founder of Leisure Center, and the architects at Casper Mueller Kneer (CMK) collaborated to make the space look and feel like a modern art museum.

“The displayed products are the most important aspect for us. In the
essence, we see it as a cinema where the visitors are able to focus on the products without any distractions,” said the Head Designer of CMK in an interview.

“Other than the technicalities, our design approach to a fashion store is very similar to an art museum and that goes for residential spaces as well. We enjoy the ambiguity.”

Leisure Center is much more than beautiful clothing and accessories. The shop boasts an impressive book section curated by Donlon Books, an independent bookshop located in London.

You’ll also find a ‘well-being’ bar that offers botanical remedies from The Alchemist’s Kitchen, a plant product vendor based in New York City.
