Left Bank restaurant to open in West End this month

The West End will be welcoming a new restaurant this month.

Left Bank will be replacing the closed down Le Parisien at 751 Denman Street. Although it has an English name, Left Bank will be incorporating a number of different cultures into their menu with a large French influence.

BC Restaurant Hall of Fame inductee, John Blakeley, will be opening the restaurant, and he says Vancouver will get to experience the up-scale taste of French cuisine without the complete up-scale atmosphere.

“I really feel like it was time for Vancouver to bring a twist to the menu and to… bring out a more casual atmosphere and approach to the West End and to Vancouver,” said Blakeley.

Different cultural tastes you can experience at Left Bank include French, North African, Asian and Middle Eastern. One of the most exciting new things coming to Left Bank is their new patio which looks out onto the streets.

There is no set opening date at the moment, but the Left Bank team is hoping to be opened to the public later this month.
