You can help build next generation apps at this Vancouver hackathon

Tech incubator Launch Academy is teaming up with media and tech company Bluzelle to launch the ultimate Decentralized Database Hackathon.

Taking place at Launch Academy on October 21 and 22, the event will focus on building internet 2.0 blockchain applications based on the next generation of database technology.

So if you have a passion for this kind of tech, you’re invited to participate – and you don’t need to have any hackathon experience! For real.

There will be mentors and coordinators onsite to help participants formulate their ideas in order to generate new ways to use decentralized database technology.

Some of the confirmed judges for the event include:

Victory Square Technologies CEO, Shafin Diamond Tejani
Bluzelle’s software engineer and computer systems architect, Neeraj Murarka

This will be the first of a series of new hackathons that will help expose developers to new technology stacks and spark new innovation. And did we mention that top prizes include $500 CAD of Crypto currency?

Team introductions will take place over breakfast at Launch Academy on October 21 at 8:30 am. Tickets to this brand new kind of hackathon are on sale now, costing $20 each. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure to register via Picatic now to avoid disappointment.
