RCMP in Langley have released a composite sketch of a young male who allegedly sexually assaulted a gas station employee in Langley.

According to police, on August 9 just before 8 p.m. a man who appeared to be intoxicated entered the gas station and walked up behind a female employee while she was eating a meal. He allegedly touched her in an inappropriate way that qualified as sexual assault.

The victim was able to push the man away and fled the gas station on foot. The use of the RCMP’s dog services to pursue the suspect was not possible due to the delay in reporting the incident.

Police have described the man as East Indian, in his mid-20s, about 5’6″ tall, 155 pounds in weight, with brown eyes, brown Elvis-style hair and a goatee. At the time of the incident, he was wearing jeans and a dark blue shirt with stripes, and carrying a black back pack.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch or has information that could help investigators is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous hotline at 1-800-222-8477.
