You heard it here first: Paris’ iconic mecca of macarons Ladurée is coming to Canada. Now we know a bit more about what Vancouver’s fans of the pastel pastry shop can expect at the Robson Street location.
With a projected springtime opening, Vancouver’s Ladurée Boutique and Tea Salon will offer an array of treats, including macarons, viennoiseries, teas, and jams, as well as a selection of home decor items, such as scented candles.
Ladurée is not only going to be a storefront, but will also house a 16-seat elegant tea salon, where patrons can indulge in bites from a menu of sweet and savoury dishes created exclusively for the Vancouver outpost, as well as tea service.
The store’s design will be a clear nod to its Parisian ancestor, starting from the façcade inspired by Ladurée’s historic Rue Royale boutique. Inside, the decor will take inspiration from the 18th century, and boast panels featuring “allegorical depictions of the ‘four seasons'” according to Ladurée’s reps.
A few more delicious design notes: “Rose and almond green hued furniture sits alongside beige and red-pink carpet to create a cosy, refined atmosphere. Lyre back chairs and small floral benches are arranged around cream wooden tables topped with Carrara marble.”
The Vancouver Ladurée will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Address: 1141 Robson Street
