La Stella Winery and Nicli Antica Pizzeria Tasting (Contest)
Pizza and wine are one of the culinary world’s most iconic pairings. One event that is doing the pairing some justice is the upcoming tasting featuring partners in crime: La Stella and Nicli Antica Pizzeria that will take place on on Tuesday June 25th at 8 pm.
This winemaker’s dinner will bring a taste of BC wines to Vancouver’s Gastown where Nicli will be creating four award-winning Neapolitan pizzas to be paired with five newly-released wines from the South Okanagan.The intimate event will take guests on a culinary journey featuring four antica (Italian for ‘authentic’) pizzas ($60) paired with five newly-released LaStella wines: from Vivace Pinot Grigio and Leggiero Chardonnay, to LaStellina Merlot Rosato rose, Fortissimo red and Moscato d’Osoyoos dessert wine.Not to be outdone by the mains, there will also be a unique dessert to be paired with their Moscato d’Osoyoos.
The event is now sold out ($60) but we’ll be giving away a pair of tickets to the event to one reader.
