Kumme Cafe announces it's permanently closing this weekend

Kumme Cafe has announced it will be closing its doors for good this weekend.

The neighbourhood bubble tea, smoothie, and dessert spot is located inside the Robson Public Market.

It will be shuttering on Saturday, December 12, after two years of operation.

In a statement on social media, Kumme cited the effects of the pandemic as the reason for its closure.

We want to thank everyone we met during the past 2 years of operating at the Robson Public Market 🙏 you are all like family to us!

Due to the pandemic, unfortunately we are unable to survive our business and have decided to close this location permanently.

Thank you once again for all of your love 💗 Our last day is Sat Dec 12!

This 1610 Robson Street gem will be open from 3 to 9:30 pm on December 12, be sure to stop by for some takeout out drinks if you are in the area.
