We’ve talked about her talent before and she’s given us a reason to do so again! Vancouver singer-songwriter Kristie Yung released her new single ‘Won’t Let You Hurt Me Anymore’ on iTunes last month. With a new music video and big plans for the future, the Canadian-born musician is on her way to her goal of being added to the list of indie success stories.

Kristie recently won over audiences across the globe by singing the title song for Mangoes (TV Series) ‘Keh Dena’ in Urdu/Hindi. By the fifth day of the song’s release on YouTube, the video reached 100,000 views, 50,000 social media shares and the title of #1 Most Viewed (Animation/Film) in Canada (Week of October 21) and #2 Most Favorited in Canada (Week of October 21) on YouTube.

“I hope that finding success in my own Independent projects will encourage others to believe in
themselves and not fear the idea of self-management. I believe that as a community, we can support
each other in our creative missions.” – Kristie Yung

As an Independent artist, Kristie not only composes her own material, she is also her own manager, producer, publisher and marketer. Now competing in the RadioStar National Talent Search, presented by Astral Media (local station: Virgin 95.3), Kristie needs fan votes to make the Top 50 cut so VOTE now until January 16th!

“With the power of technology and social media, artists don’t have to wait to get discovered by a major
label to ‘make it’ anymore. It’s a new age for emerging artists and I want to show other new artists that
it’s not about waiting, it’s about making it happen for yourself.”

Kristie is an amazing talent and is going very far.  Check out her new single and tell us what you think via comment.  Enjoy it – we know we did!
