Dec 19 2017, 2:41 pm

Kokanee is making its silver screen debut this weekend at the Whistler Film Festival in The Movie Out Here.

Alliance Films and Kokanee produced the 90-minute buddy comedy that features Kokanee’s colourful cast, like the Glacier Girls and Sasquatch.

The film premieres on the evening of November 30, 2012, where stars Robin Nielsen (grand-nephew of Canadian comedian Leslie Nielsen), Viv Leacock, and James Wallis – along with a few surprises – will be on site at the Telus Whistler Conference Centre.

Shot on location around the lower mainland and in the mountains of Fernie, B.C., the movie follows a group of friends who reunite in the ski town. A series of events lead them to “an adventure of mountainous proportions.” The Movie Out Here, which is described as “Hot Tub Time Machine meets Old School”, involved fan input throughout the making of the movie.

The film will be distributed theatrically in Canada by Alliance Film in February 2013.
