Vancouverites were treated to record-breaking temperatures in March.
As a result of the warm weather, you can grab your bathing suit and towel and head down to the Kitsilano Pool just in time for the May long weekend.
Swimmers can make waves on Saturday, May 18, which is the official opening date.
The Kits pool is Vancouver’s only saltwater swimming pool and is the longest pool in North America at 137 metres long.
From May 18 to June 10, the hours of operation are noon to 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday and 9 am to 8:30 pm on weekends.
Extended hours will start on June 11.
