“You don’t have to be a boss to be a leader.”
Riaz Meghji, founder of Every Conversation Counts, sat down with Kirstine Stewart, Twitter’s VP Media for North America, to chat about how she makes her voice heard in a male dominated executive world, manages family with a thriving career, and how social media can help make you an effective boss and build trust as a leader.
Stewart has been a force for female leadership and made national headlines in 2013 when she announced her departure from managing the CBC’s English-language operations to join Twitter Canada. Since then, she has built the social media platform here in Canada to connect various brands, and was promoted to VP of North American Media in 2014.
Her new book, “Our Turn,” is an inspiring read that explores her personal story leading organizations like CBC, Alliance Atlantis, and Twitter, and takes the conversation about women and work to a whole new level.
Launched in fall 2014, Meghji questions some of the world’s most fascinating figures through Every Conversation Counts and asks “if you had to describe the most important conversation of your life, what would it be?”
Watch as Meghji sits down with Stewart and asks how she achieved success and, more importantly, her true sense of purpose:
