The Khatsahlano Street Party is back for another summer in Vancouver, and there are road closures to be aware of if you’re commuting in the area this weekend.
The event is one of the city’s largest free music and arts festivals and will be taking place on Saturday, July 5, between Burrard Street and Macdonald Street, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The massive street party is presented by the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Improvement Association, with a huge roster of musical acts curated by Zulu Records.
It will also feature over 60 free concerts, food trucks, local artisans, and more.

According to the West 4th BIA, West 4th Avenue will be closed from Burrard to Macdonald Street, leading up to and after the event. Some connecting streets will also be impacted by closures.
“Please be mindful and look for temporary no parking signs while you’re in the area,” stated the BIA.

Khatsahlano organizers recommend using public transportation, a car, or a bike share service to get to the festival.
“You can take the bus or SkyTrain to nearby stations and walk to the event,” the website states. “Alternatively, consider biking or walking if you’re in the vicinity.”
Organizers added that street parking will be “extremely limited in the surrounding area.”
From activities and games to live entertainment and shopping, this year’s Khatsahlano Street Party offers lots to see and do — just be sure to plan your trip ahead and arrive early for the fun!
