Justin Trudeau spotted on 'well-timed' shirtless run in Toronto

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Toronto this week, and met with newly elected Premier Doug Ford on Thursday.

“I had my first meeting with the new Premier of Ontario today in Toronto,” tweeted Trudeau. “Doug Ford and I talked about a variety of issues affecting Ontarians and how we can work together to create jobs and improve the lives of people across the province.”

And like any other daytime meeting for the PM, he was suited up.

But that wasn’t the case a few hours later, when he was “spotted” jogging shirtless along one of the city’s beaches.

In a video, Trudeau is seen jogging, with what looks like about three security personnel, before heading off on his own.

And while the video is ‘so Trudeau,’ having done similar public runs in the past, it’s potentially just well-placed timing for these stunts.

The Prime Minister recently responded to groping allegations stemming from an incident 18 years ago, at a charity event in Creston, BC.

Social media users quickly made the connection between the shirtless stunt and Trudeau’s recent headlines.

Last summer, Trudeau was taking a jog along the Stanley Park seawall in Vancouver when he ran past a group of teenagers getting ready to snap some photos before prom.

And in 2016, a surf-ready shirtless Justin Trudeau was accidentally photographed in a Tofino wedding photoshoot.

Whether or not these stunts are intentional, some Canadians seem to enjoy them.
