From Jurassic World to Tomorrowland: 6 Super Bowl movie trailers (VIDEO)

Dec 19 2017, 9:50 pm

It is estimated that more than 110 million Americans tune into the NFL’s Super Bowl championship game each year, which makes it one of television’s most lucrative advertising opportunities.

The bill for airing a 30-second ad during yesterday’s Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots game is said to have cost $4.5-million or about $150,000 each second.

This includes ads playing movie trailers to introduce movie goers to some of the year’s most anticipated movies. The trailers are a mixture of both old (already seen) and new footage:

Jurassic World

Star Lord trains velociraptors? The upcoming sequel to the Jurassic World reveals new footage of this summer’s new threat to the dinosaur theme park, which is located on the island from the original film. Everything takes place 22 years the first film… history repeats itself when a cloned dinosaur made from the DNA of a tyrannosaur-rex, velociraptor, snake and cuttlefish escapes.

Furious 7

Furious 7 will be the final film appearance of Paul Walker, who died in November 2013 when filming for the project was only half complete. The release of the film was delayed so that the filmmakers could re-write the script and Walker’s brothers were used as stand-ins for some remaining scenes. As for the film’s plot… well, “where we’re going, we don’t need roads.”
