If you haven’t heard of The Juicery Co, it may be because they’re tucked away in the beautiful North Shore Mountains. Their charming heritage storefront, where they produce all their juice, is located just off Lonsdale. It’s full of character with exposed brick and a large community table.

This family owned company is expanding quickly; they recently announced that they will be opening a second location (on the North Shore as well) in Edgemont Village, but we have the inside scoop on their third location in Vancouver! There newest retail shop will be located at 3570 West 4th Ave just down from the amazing Aphrodite Pie shop in Kitsilano, and is slated to open in early 2015.

Juicery

The Juicery Co is dedicated to using 100 per cent organic ingredients and buys locally whenever possible. Their glass bottles are so beautifully branded that you may not want to bring it back for the $1 return. Their retail shops will not only sell their bottled juices and nut mylks but also smoothies, acai bowls, snacks and soups from Kitskitchen.

The Juicery Co was created after a family member was diagnosed with stage four Esophageal Cancer. During investigation of alternative treatments it became apparent that nutrition could potentially offer the most potent healing medicine.

Research revealed juicing as a method of providing specific micronutrients, which would support the body with the challenge of living with cancer. Co-Founders Alex Troll and Christina Prevost began making Dads Juice (beet, apple, carrot, kale, ginger and turmeric) daily for their family member and saw improvements in his overall wellbeing. They were inspired to share their story and help others learn the benefits of eating a plant-based diet. They hold juicing classes, health discussions and yoga classes in their current location.
