Canadian fans of Jollibee, the wait will soon be over! The largest fast food chain in the Philippines is coming to Canada later this year with future expansion planned across the country.

For those unfamiliar with chain, Jollibee serves up American-style fast food with Filipino-influenced dishes specializing in burgers, spaghetti, chicken and a few local Filipino dishes.

According to Stats Canada, there are nearly half a million Filipinos that call Canada home, majority of whom can be found in Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Calgary.

The McDonald’s of the Philippines plans to open its first Canadian store in Toronto. However, don’t worry, Vancouver residents can expect one soon.

Jollibee plans to open 330 new stores this year. One will be in Toronto, which leaves 109 other international locations. Expect a Vancouver store by 2016 at the earliest.
